Position Overview We are looking for a Firmware Test and Product Test Engineer who is excited to work at the heart of SSD innovation. In this role, you will define and test strategies to validate SSD firmware for datacenter applications, working closely with product development teams to ensure robust coverage of product requirements. You will also work in an engineering environment supported by a growing set of AI-enabled develop and verification tools. Come and join us!

Responsibilities:

Build and develop known, grey-box, and closed system validation tests for SSD firmware used in datacenter applications. Partner with firmware, hardware, and product development teams to translate product requirements into effective and scalable validation coverage. Create, execute, and analyze test plans that verify functionality, quality, and reliability across the SSD development lifecycle, with a strong focus on identifying firmware issues and improving overall product robustness. Use C, Python, and automation frameworks to accelerate firmware bug finding, support debug and root-cause analysis, and collaborate closely with the firmware team to drive effective issue resolution and continuous improvement of validation methodologies. Take advantage of AI-supported development and validation tools to speed up test creation and contribute to industry-leading storage solutions.

The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is: 32.000,00 € - 55.000,00 € per year, with B2 CCNL Level. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
