HPE Group S.p.a in Modena, hybrid workplace, seeks a Design Engineer – Internal Combustion Engine to design and develop mechanical components for engines and powertrains, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and performance requirements.

The role covers the entire product development cycle from concept to production, contributing to reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability while collaborating with engineering teams and external partners.

Competenze

• Mechanical, mechatronic or vehicle engineering degree (required).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g. CREO, CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes; basic GD&T.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and perform basic analyses.

Mansioni

• Develop 2D/3D models and technical drawings of engine components and powertrain systems.
• Define technical specifications with engineering teams.
• Design and optimize engine components and systems.
• Support prototype testing and product verification.
• Ensure manufacturability with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Assist with simulations (FEA/CFD) and thermal analyses where applicable.
• Manage design changes and product configuration.
• Participate in internal/external design reviews.
• Contribute to cost, weight and performance optimization.
