Job summary

Veil Energy is seeking a hybrid-profile energy engineer in Italy who can translate technical energy systems into business value and engage with customers and prospects. You will support both technical and commercial teams while growing with an international group.

The role blends engineering rigor with commercial acumen, offering training on E-BOOST, BESS, self-production and energy markets, and ample opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Energy, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or 2–3 years in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of energy systems: renewables, cogeneration, BESS, energy efficiency, tariffs and markets.
• Ability to interpret energy data, KPIs, and basic system schematics.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.
• Commercial mindset: value-based selling and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring continuity, satisfaction, and project development.
• Support technical and commercial teams in defining energy solutions (renewables, BESS, cogeneration, efficiency, EMS).
• Conduct discovery calls with potential clients to understand energy needs and identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare technical assessments, preliminary analyses, and commercial presentations.
• Collaborate with the product team and energy engineers to define system configurations and project scenarios.
• Contribute to onboarding processes and continuous improvement of customer success activities.
• Participate in trade fairs, events, and meetings with technical and decision-making stakeholders.

Prerequisites

• Degree in Energy, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or 2–3 years of professional experience in the energy sector.
• Solid knowledge of energy systems: renewables, cogeneration, BESS, energy efficiency, tariff structures, and energy market dynamics (PUN).
• Ability to interpret energy data, KPIs, and basic system schematics.
• Familiarity with EMS or digital energy monitoring platforms (a plus).
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset: active listening, value-based selling, objection handling.
• Relationship-driven attitude and ability to manage a client portfolio.
• Autonomy, accountability, curiosity, and a strong desire to grow.
• Excellent knowledge of English; German is a plus.
