Job summary

E80 Group in Italy is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the SM.I.LE80 product portfolio, with emphasis on the EDGE layer for autonomous vehicles. The role blends robotics, software engineering, automation and networking in a fully Agile environment.

You will work on embedded software running on devices and vehicles, collaborating with engineers, scrum masters and product owners to deliver value and maintain system documentation, while participating in internal training.

Qualifications

• Master degree in software/computer science/automation or equivalent.
• 8+ years in software engineering, esp. in industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, robotics, embedded systems.
• 5+ years C/C++ on Linux.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, scripting CLI/bash/python, etc.
• Experience with RTOS and real-time programming.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and vehicle/industrial standards.
• Familiar with Git and software design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software design, development & test on EDGE embedded software.
• Collaborate with engineers, scrum masters and product owners to deliver value.
• Maintain holistic system view and keep technical documentation up to date.
