Leonardo S.p.A. in Vergiate, Italy, is seeking a Junior Material Management Specialist to run end-to-end material management activities, from planning to execution, coordinating demand, procurement and supply with internal and external partners.

The role requires a bachelor or master degree in engineering or supply chain (or equivalent with 3 years in logistics). The successful candidate will work under a permanent contract with a hybrid working arrangement and a total base pay range described

Within the Customer Support Services & Training area, we are looking for a Material Management Specialist for our office in Vergiate (VA). The mission is to execute end-to-end material management activities, from requirements planning to supply execution, ensuring alignment between demand, procurement and supply performance through coordination of internal and external stakeholders.

Key activities are:

1. Manage material requirements based on demand inputs, ensuring proper definition of quantities, timing and sourcing strategy;
2. Execute or support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities, ensuring consistency and accuracy of planning data;
3. Generate and manage purchase requisitions and ensure timely conversion into Purchase Orders / Transfer Orders;
4. Ensure proper alignment between demand, planning and procurement functions;
5. Manage assigned material supply sources (Supply Chain, Industrial Operations, Local Suppliers);
6. Collect, consolidate and monitor supply plans ensuring their consistency with demand priorities;
7. Monitor execution of supply plans, identifying delays, shortages and misalignments;
8. Perform expediting actions on supply flows and deliveries, coordinating with responsible stakeholders;
9. Act as focal point for material issues and receiving anomalies, ensuring proper escalation and resolution;
10. Manage material shortages and critical situations, defining and following up recovery actions;
11. Provide timely visibility on material availability, risks and recovery plans;
12. Support prioritization decisions in case of constrained supply scenarios;
13. Ensure data consistency and updates across planning and execution systems;
14. Monitor inventory levels, backlog and supply performance for assigned materials;
15. Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and supply processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor/Master Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent) or Technical Degree with 3 years experience in logistics, operations or supply chain.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

How does the selection process work? Following the application collection phase, the CVs that best match the required qualifications will be evaluated and shortlisted. Selected candidates will take part in an introductory interview with the Human Resources team, focusing on motivation and aptitude, followed by an in-depth technical interview with the relevant Business function. At the end of the process, all candidates will receive feedback, regardless of whether the outcome is positive or negative.
