Job summary

Marposs is seeking an Electronic Components Buyer to join the Purchasing Department in Bentivoglio (BO), Italy, focusing on sourcing electronic and electromechanical parts for production needs. You will manage a supplier portfolio, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance while collaborating with Engineering and Production Planning to ensure continuity.

Qualifications

Knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components.
Technical education, preferably in electronics.
Previous experience purchasing electronic components.
Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
Good command of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Advanced Excel skills.
Good knowledge of English.
Strong negotiation and commercial management skills.
Analytical mindset focused on cost management and results.
Problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities.
Proactive, dynamic and self-motivated attitude.
Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Select, qualify, and develop national and international suppliers.
Negotiate prices, terms, and supply contracts.
Monitor component availability, lead times, and obsolescence.
Manage supply chain issues and supplier-related risks.
Collaborate with Engineering and Production Planning to ensure supply chain continuity.
Analyze costs and contribute to cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support identification and development of new strategic sourcing opportunities.
