Job summary

Atlas Copco BLM in Paderno Dugnano, Italy, seeks an Electronics Commodity Buyer to lead sourcing for electronic components, PCB assemblies, EMS providers, and related technologies. You will collaborate with R&D, Industrialization, and Quality to ensure supplier readiness and cost competitiveness.

You will drive supplier development, support NPI, manage risk, and analyze data to optimize the supply base, with a hybrid work model and scope to influence future electronics-driven portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in electronics/industrial engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of electronics sourcing, supplier development or procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB assemblies, EMS suppliers and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting NPI, industrialization and supplier qualification activities.
• Knowledge of cost engineering, value engineering and supply chain risk management.
• Good knowledge of SAP MM.
• Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel for data-driven decisions.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement sourcing strategies for the Electronics commodity.
• Develop suppliers for electronic components, PCB assemblies, EMS, power electronics, sensors and connectivity solutions.
• Drive supplier development focusing on quality, capacity and delivery performance.
• Support new product introductions through supplier readiness and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with R&D Hardware, Industrialization and Quality teams.
• Identify and implement cost reduction via should-cost, VE and supplier collaboration.
• Support lifecycle management including EOL and continuity planning.
• Lead supplier reviews and development plans for strategic suppliers.
• Identify emerging technologies, suppliers and market trends for roadmaps.
• Analyze sourcing data and drive optimization and risk mitigation.
