ACMA, headquartered in Bologna, Italy, is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Engineering and R&D department. You will manage projects from concept to completion and build industry-leading solutions for customers.

You will design automation software for controls of automated machinery lines, collaborate with mechanical engineering and R&D with a focus on software design and mechatronics, and develop software for the entire machine life cycle, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation/Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of motion control and PLC programming is essential.
  • Experience in automatic machinery sector and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering and R&D department, managing projects from concept to completion, and building industry-leading solutions for our customers.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design automation software solutions for controls of automated machinery lines;
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering dept. and R&D dept with a focus on software design and mechatronics, performing functional analysis on machines, based on customer's URS and on new machinery technical specifications;
  • Develop software for the entire machine life cycle, including design, development, production, and maintenance, ensuring software's compliance with customer's requirements;
  • Execute simulations, debug, and testing of machines, both before machine installation and at customers' sites;
  • Draft relevant technical documentation.

What you need to be successful:

  • You have at least 5 Years of experience in a similar position;
  • You have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Automation/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering or related fields;
  • Knowledge of motion control;
  • Significant experience in the role within the automatic machines sector;
  • To have command of PLC programming tools and programming languages: i.e. Schneider; Rockwell, Beckhoff; B&R Automation is considered a plus;
  • You are organized and detail oriented;
  • You are a team player;
  • You are focused on innovation and curious about innovative solutions.

Our Offer:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 44,400, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role.

A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy.

The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico.
