Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer – Electronic Controls in Italy to lead innovation in safety and certification. You will shape certification approaches, influence project execution, and grow technical expertise while collaborating with global teams to ensure timely delivery.

With 3–5 years of project experience and strong English communication, you will manage proposals, planning, and documentation while engaging customers to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Electronics or related Engineering background.
• 3–5 years of related project experience.
• Experience with Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) services would be a strong asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requirements by critically assessing project requests for relevance, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Define required technical steps to enable Sales to prepare competitive offers.
• Create detailed project plans and provide concise management reports.
• Oversee testing planning across internal and external labs for Certification work (Frequency Converters, PLCs, Process Controllers).
• Own project timelines and ensure deadlines through strong planning and prioritization.
• Prepare and maintain complete project documentation, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Support management through audits, data review, and training; mentor new colleagues.
• Build relationships with customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
