Matchtech Group is seeking an Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead on-site quality control for a major data centre project in Milan, Italy. You will own the site Quality Management System (QMS) and coordinate with engineering, installation teams and the client.

Responsibilities include managing MV/LV containment installations, cable pulling, ITPs, QCPs and non-conformance actions, plus signing off insulation tests and cable pulls. English fluency is essential; Italian would be advantageous.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as Quality Manager or Senior QA/QC on Data Centre or complex industrial builds.
• Specialist in MV and LV containment, cable installation and testing.
• Engineering qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Quality management certification (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or CQI) desirable.
• Knowledge of European electrical standards and wiring regulations.
• English fluency; Italian language skills are advantageous.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading global MEP contractor delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure across Europe. Following the expansion of a major hyperscale Data Centre project in Milan, Italy, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control operations for all high-voltage and low-voltage electrical works.

Role Overview

As the Electrical QA/QC Manager, you will take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) on site, ensuring all MV/LV containment installations, MV/LV cable pulling, and associated works comply fully with design specifications, industry standards, and local regulations. You will work closely with site installation teams, engineering lead, and the end client to maintain rigorous quality control from delivery through to pre-commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the site Quality Management Plan (QMP) tailored to MV/LV cable pulling and containment installation scope.

• Conduct strict inspections on incoming electrical materials, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Establish and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Procedures (QCPs), and Method Statements.

• Perform regular site quality audits, identifying non-conformances (NCRs), logging Snagging/Punch Lists, and driving swift corrective/preventive actions.

• Witness and sign off on critical milestones, including insulation testing, continuity checks, cable pull tension logs, and containment torque checks.

• Collate, review, and maintain all quality documentation, test records, and certification required for Quality Handover packages.

• Interface directly with client QA/QC representatives, third-party inspectors, and project engineering leadership.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior QA/QC Engineer on major Data Centre or complex industrial build projects.

• Specialist technical expertise in MV (Medium Voltage) and LV (Low Voltage) containment systems, cable installation, and testing procedures.

• Recognized engineering or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• Formal Quality Management certification (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQI membership, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of European electrical standards, wiring regulations, and international construction best practices.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); basic or fluent Italian is an advantage.
