Link Engineering Company in Lombardy, Magenta, seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to design and support electrical systems for precision test equipment and control systems.

You will draw schematics, perform critical calculations, prepare BOMs, supervise cabinet assembly, and ensure motor drives and safety standards are met, enabling high-quality testing solutions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with electrical schematics using CAD tools (EPLAN preferred).
• Experience with test equipment design is a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, instrumentation, three-phase systems and motor drives.
• Familiarity with EN 60204-1 and EN 13849-1 safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.

Mansioni

• Draw electrical schematics for testing machines using CAD tools.

About The Role

The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the research, design, development, documentation, and support of electrical systems for precision test equipment, data acquisition and control systems.

Responsabilities

• Drawing of electrical schematics for testing machines using CAD tools.


• Performing technical calculations including full load amps, short circuit amps, conduit sizes etc.


• Performance Level Calculation according to EN 13849-1


• Selection of components and creation of BOMs in the ERP system.


• Supervise suppliers during the realization of electrical cabinets and verify the quality of the delivered assembly.


• Performing checkout of the electrical cabinets at the delivery


• Selection, programming and troubleshooting of motor drives/motion control systems.


• Support to Sales, Operations, Testing and Validation Departments.


• Documentation including manuals and technical files to keep required records.


• Suggest new designs, and innovative solutions for improvements.


• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and at least 5 years in the field of electrical design.


• Proven experience with electrical schematics using CAD tools (Eplan is preferred).


• Previous electrical design experience with test equipment or similar is a plus.


• Proven experience troubleshooting technical and operative issues and determining possible reasons for malfunction.


• Knowledge of instrumentation, transducers, control systems, three phase power systems, motion control, and motor drive technologies to operate resources as required.


• Knowledge PLC and HMI and programming tools and techniques.


• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models for the creation of electrical schematics using CAD tools.


• Knowledge of electrical safety of machinery norms: EN 60204-1 and EN 13849-1


• PES/PAV/PEI certification is a plus


• Strong capability and understanding of mechanical, electrical and software engineering fundamentals.


• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions


• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.


• Ability to work well in a Team environment..


• Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement support.


• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
