Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Engineering Team Leader for Integrated Solutions to guide multidisciplinary teams in the early proposal stages for modular data centers and power rooms. You will translate customer requirements into technical designs and lead coordination across architecture, civil, electrical, HVAC, monitoring and fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance to codes, standards and customer specifications.

Position Summary

• The Pre-Sales Engineering Team Leader for Integrated Solutions plays a key role during the early stages of projects and proposal development for our customers. This position requires competencies across multiple technical disciplines (architecture, civil, mechanical, HVAC, monitoring and control systems, and fire protection) necessary for developing technical solutions. The role also demands people management and leadership skills, as well as the ability to understand and interpret customer requirements and proposals from both technical and business perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developing design during the proposal phase of projects (modular data centers, power rooms, cable landing stations)
• Reading and understanding RFQs and tender documentation
• Interpreting customer requirements received through the sales team
• Understanding relevant codes and standards
• Coordinating technical disciplines (architecture, civil, electrical, HVAC, monitoring and control systems, fire protection)
• Technical coordination with customers and suppliers
• Coordinating and supervising the preparation of technical documentation for Vertiv modular data center solutions
• Reviewing documents prepared by team members
• Incorporating customer requirements into proposed solutions
• Providing technical assistance and information during sales activities
• International travel for customer meetings, seminars, and trainings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Excellent knowledge of data center design, understanding of technical systems, functionalities, and architecture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with multiple engineering and manufacturing teams to translate architectures and concepts into design and implementation
• Client interaction for presenting solutions and concepts, and through documented specifications

• Computer skills: proficient user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), PowerPoint (A), AutoCAD
