Overview

The EHS Specialist will act as a member of the EHS Team in Sesto San Giovani Site and be the EHS focal point for the assigned area and / or process. The mission will be to develop, plan and execute the Environmental Health and Safety programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Support the EHS Team to define, improve, lean, simplify, communicate and maintain site EHS program requirements and expectations
• Implement / modify related EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of existing and proposed regulations
• Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems
• Ensure compliance of plant operations with regulatory requirements relating to health and safety
• Manage environmental regulatory topics, with particular reference to air and waste
• Provide and determine alternatives for issue resolution

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Environmental, Industrial Engineering or related health and safety disciplines from an accredited university
• Previous work experience in EHS
• Knowledge of Italian EHS regulation (D.lgs. 81 / 2008; D.lgs. 152 / 2006) and
• Knowledge of EHS international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks
• Fluent Italian and good English knowledge
• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
