UNSW invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences. The Education Focussed (EF) role enables academics to specialise in teaching, delivering high-quality courses and pursuing teaching initiatives across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The role leads capstone subjects SCIF1000 and SCIF1001, applying a rigorous teaching philosophy, engaging with students, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.

Competenze

• Experience designing and delivering courses and programs at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated use of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.

Mansioni

• Lead the team delivering SCIF1000 and SCIF1001 including course convening and collaboration with other Science Faculty courses.
• Apply a well-defined teaching philosophy and reflective teaching practice.
• Conduct classes, assess student learning and support students in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses.
• Design and develop learning activities and resources, and assessment and feedback at course and program levels.
• Maintain inclusive teaching practices aligned with Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).
• Manage course administration as Course Authority, including quality assurance.
