UNSW Canberra invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Technical Cyber Security. The role contributes to teaching and builds scholarly research and professional standing nationally and internationally.

You will develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in technical cyber security, contribute to short courses and micro-credentials, and lead curriculum innovation within the School of Systems & Computing at UNSW Canberra.

Competenze

• PhD in technical cyber security or related field with relevant professional experience.
• Experience teaching and curriculum design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Ability to deliver in person and online using modern pedagogies and educational tech.

Remuneration: Level B from $133,065 / Level C from $161,619 + leave loading + 17% super

Why Your Role Matters

This position in the School of Systems & Computin at UNSW Canberra is a balanced academic position that will complement the depth of expertise in cyber security in the school. You will be expected to carry out activities to develop your scholarly research and professional standing both nationally and internationally, develop and contribute significantly to educational excellence, and make a significant contribution to collegiality, engagement and leadership in the School and Faculty. A successful candidate will also contribute to the development, implementation, revision, and delivery of technical cyber security courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as short courses and micro-credentials in the school.

Who You Are (skills And Experience)

• PhD in technical cyber security or a closely related discipline, with relevant professional experience.
• Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of developments in the discipline and profession.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum design and course delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, using contemporary pedagogies, educational technologies and online methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness, educational excellence and contribution to curriculum innovation and improvement.
• Commitment to supporting and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds, including through inclusive learning, meaningful assessment and effective feedback.
• Demonstrated research excellence through high-quality, high-impact outcomes, research leadership and, where relevant, HDR student recruitment and supervision.
• Experience engaging with industry or the profession, including work-integrated learning, collaboration, funding or learning and teaching initiatives.
• Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
