NXP Semiconductors in Italy is expanding teams in Catania to develop high-performance MCU/SOC digital designs. You will craft RTL, verify with formal methods, and collaborate with analog, software, and mixed-signal groups to optimize interfaces and meet timing, power, and quality targets.

We seek a master’s-educated engineer with strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, EDA tool fluency, and the drive to lead discussions and post-silicon validation efforts.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
• Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools for RTL coding and synthesis, STA, formal verification.
• Understanding of digital design principles, clock domain crossing, power integrity, and low-power design techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and design flow optimization.
• Attitude to problem-solving, attention to details and ability to work in team oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and lead technical discussions.

Mansioni

• Develop digital sub-circuits related to SOC based on predefined specifications, RTL coding, synthesis, STA, and formal verification.
• Contribute to design for testability (DFT) implementation and verification, debugging skills.
• Collaborate closely with analog, mixed-signal, and software teams to define interfaces and optimize system performance.
• Follow design methodologies to guarantee schedule and quality targets.
• Perform comprehensive design verification using simulation tools, formal verification, and hardware emulation.
• Participate in post-silicon validation and debugging activities to ensure product quality.
• Generate detailed design documentation including specifications, test plans, and reviews.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital IC design.
