Job summary

AI4I in Turin invites applications for two Research Engineers / Research Fellows to work at the intersection of Edge AI and sensing technologies. Reporting to Prof. Michele Magno, you will design, implement, and experimentally validate novel intelligent sensing and Edge AI approaches.

We seek candidates with strong hands-on experimental skills, a MSc in electronic engineering or related field, proficiency in Python and C/C++, and experience with PyTorch, plus good English. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Electronic Engineering, or closely related field.
• Strong programming in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with ML/DL frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
• Strong interest in Edge AI and sensing.
• Hands-on experimental attitude and ability to build and test real systems.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate ML/DL methods for edge and embedded apps.
• Work with embedded platforms, edge accelerators, MCUs, NPUs, FPGAs.
• Integrate AI with sensing technologies (event-based cameras, depth cameras, radars).
• Prototype toward high-TRL solutions with real-world deployment focus.
• Contribute to publications, research prototypes, open-source software, collaborations.
