NEXTCHEM in Montorio al Vomano (TE), Italy, invites a skilled E&I/Automation specialist to join its Excellence Center. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems in a pioneering depolymerization project aimed at energy transition.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical subject, 4–8 years of experience, strong English, and keen attention to detail.

The candidate will become part of NEXTCHEM’s Excellence Center in Montorio al Vomano (TE), having the opportunity to work on the first-of-its-kind industrial plant for the depolymerization of plastics, operating on a novel technology to fully enable the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Performs straightforward maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment, following the guidelines of the Responsible.
• Calibrates instruments to ensure accurate measurements and readings.
• Identifies and resolves failure modes in electrical and automation systems.
• Maintains the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance action list and spare parts inventory.
• Drafts instrumentation setting procedures and shares them with the Plant Manager and Team.
• PLC base knowledge and Control system troubleshooting.
• Standard PLC Protocols Knowledge: Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, etc.
• Experience with HMI Control Panel.
• P&ID and Electrical drawings Knowledge.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in technical subjects,
• At least 4/8 years of experience in E&I/Automation,
• Good English speaker and writer,
• Strong attention to details,
• Adaptability, entrepreneurship and working with method,
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities must be continually re-evaluated and adapted as possible.

Contract Type and Classification

• Contract type: Permanent
• Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)
• Job classification level: White Collar, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement

Compensation

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be € 43.000,00

• The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.
• Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
