Job summary

Narda Safety Test Solutions GmbH seeks an experienced Director of Operations to relocate to Cisano sul Neva, Italy, directing production, procurement, calibration lab, service, warehousing, and logistics. You will lead department heads, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure on-time, high-quality outputs while aligning with strategic corporate goals.

The role requires an engineering or industrial engineering background, senior leadership experience, and fluency in Italian, English, and German.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or industrial engineering and management, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience managing multiple operational business units.
• In-depth knowledge of production, supply chain, procurement, and quality management.
• Experience in Lean Management or Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for production, purchasing, calibration laboratory, service, warehousing and logistics.
• Lead and develop department heads and employees.
• Ensure efficient, on-time, high-quality production and optimal flow of materials and goods.
• Achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and optimize operational processes using Lean Management and Operational Excellence.
• Oversee production, capacity, and resource planning.
• Strategic and operational procurement and supplier management.
• Ensure highest quality standards in calibration laboratory and service.
• Implement and analyze KPIs; collaborate with Development, Sales, Quality, and Finance.
• Report to Managing Director in Germany and contribute to corporate strategy.

Director of Operations(m/f/d)

We are looking for someone who is willing to permanently relocate to Italy and to further develop our Italian location in a sustainable manner.

Your Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the areas of production, purchasing, the calibration laboratory, service, and warehousing and logistics
• Leading and developing the respective department heads and employees
• Ensuring efficient, on-time, and high-quality production, as well as an optimal flow of materials and goods
• Responsibility for achieving quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Further development and optimization of all operational processes in accordance with the principles of lean management and operational excellence
• Overseeing production, capacity, and resource planning
• Responsibility for strategic and operational procurement as well as supplier management
• Ensuring the highest quality standards in the calibration laboratory and technical service
• Implementation, analysis, and continuous improvement of relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Close collaboration with the Development, Sales, Quality Management, and Finance departments within the corporate group
• Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Narda Safety Test Solutions GmbH in Germany and contributing to the strategic development of the corporate group

Your Profile

• A successfully completed degree in engineering or industrial engineering and management, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of leadership experience in a similar position in an industrial setting
• Experience managing multiple operational business units
• In-depth knowledge of production, supply chain management, procurement, and quality management
• Experience in introducing and implementing Lean Management, Operational Excellence, or comparable methods
• Analytical thinking skills as well as strong entrepreneurial and strategic expertise
• Strong leadership skills, decisiveness, and communication skills
• Business-level proficiency in Italian, English, and German is required
