UNDP is seeking a senior leader to guide the Rome Centre for Climate and Energy, advancing climate and energy transition priorities in Italy. The role oversees strategic partnerships, donor engagement, and cross‑agency collaboration within the UNDP framework.

Leadership responsibilities include steering program delivery, promoting knowledge management, and representing UNDP at high‑level forums in Italy. Fluency in English and Italian is required, French desirable.

Formación

• Advanced degree in economics, international relations, natural or social sciences related to sustainable development.
• Minimum 15 years leadership experience in climate, sustainable development, or green transition.
• Experience in interagency cooperation, partnerships and resource mobilization.
• Fluency in English and Italian; French desirable.
• Experience in UN or international organizations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic supervision of the Rome Centre for Climate and Energy.
• Represent UNDP in Italy and coordinate partnerships with the government.
• Lead development of strategic partnerships and resource mobilization plans.
• Coordinate with UN system partners and donor engagement.
• Oversee management of Rome-based operations and ensure alignment with UNDP strategies.
• Lead and participate in advisory services and knowledge management.

Educación

Advanced University Degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Economics, International Relations, Natural or Social Sciences or relevant disciplines related to Sustainable Development and International Policy

First-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above with two years of qualifying experience
