UNDP Rome Centre is seeking a Project Specialist – Digital Development to coordinate the Italy–Africa Digital Flagship Programme across countries. You will work with UNDP Country Offices, MAECI, and Italian private sector partners to ensure delivery aligned with donor requirements and programme objectives.

The role emphasizes high‑level strategic leadership, risk management, and knowledge sharing to advance digital development goals across the region and related stakeholder networks.

Competenze

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development) or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in programme and project management.
• Experience coordinating multi-country programmes with governments and international partners.

Mansioni

• Provide high-level strategic guidance and coordination across programme components and countries.
• Lead review and QA of project documents ensuring coherence with donor requirements.
• Oversee adaptation of proposals to evolving donor formats and guidelines.
• Interface with UNDP Country Offices and national partners to ensure timely delivery of activities.
• Identify and mitigate programmatic, operational, political, and reputational risks.
• Prepare high-quality programme reports for internal and external stakeholders.
