UNDP in Rome Centre is seeking a Project Specialist – Digital Development to coordinate and deliver the Italy–Africa Digital Development Flagship Programme across multiple countries. You will work with UNDP Country Offices, MAECI, and partners to ensure timely delivery, alignment with donor requirements, and coherent cross-country implementation.

The role requires an advanced degree in development, 7–9 years of experience in programme management, and strong skills in stakeholder engagement,

Competenze

Advanced university degree in International Development or related field is required.
Minimum 7–9 years of progressively responsible programme/project management experience in international development contexts.
Experience coordinating multi-country programmes and engaging with donor partners is essential.

Mansioni

Provide high-level strategic guidance and coordination across programme components and countries.
Lead review and quality assurance of project documents and alignment with national priorities.
Oversee adaptation of proposals to evolving donor requirements and templates.
Interface with UNDP Country Offices and national counterparts to ensure timely delivery.
Identify risks and advise senior management to mitigate impact and ensure continuity.
Prepare high-quality programme reports, briefs, and updates for stakeholders.
Capture and disseminate lessons learned across countries and activities.
