Job summary

AVL Italia S.p.A. seeks a Diesel Calibration Engineer to independently calibrate diesel engine control units across powertrain, ADAS and E/E systems. You will plan, execute and evaluate calibration activities in test benches and vehicle testing environments.

The role requires several years of diesel calibration, ECU application and validation experience, plus strong English and teamwork. Starting salary shown: 28,5k EUR per year under Metalmeccanico Industria terms.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in the application and validation of control unit functions.
• Experience in diesel engine calibration, ECU application, and validation on engine/powertrain benches or vehicle testing.
• Calibration of diesel combustion, air handling, fuel injection, torque, emissions, and aftertreatment functions.
• Good understanding of diesel engine development, emissions legislation, and exhaust aftertreatment tech.
• English language skills (very good).

Responsibilities

• Independent calibration of control unit functions for powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc., with focus on diesels.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate calibration functions in various environments.
• Calibrate diesel engine functions to meet targets for performance, emissions and efficiency.
• Create documentation for calibration parameters and measurement results.
• Present results to customers and support project managers.
• Develop innovative methods and tools for calibration tasks.
• Assist in project planning and logistics, and participate in tests and meetings.
