Job summary

AVL Italia S.p.A. in Italy is seeking a Diesel Calibration Engineer to independently calibrate control units across powertrain, ADAS, chassis, and E/E systems, with a principal focus on diesel engine management.

The role covers planning, executing, and evaluating calibration tasks in test tracks, engine benches and software-in-the-loop environments. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree and several years of calibration/validation experience, with strong English skills and a collaborative

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/electrical/automotive/propulsion fields with focus on powertrain.
Several years of experience in calibration, ECU application and validation.
Good understanding of diesel engine development processes, emissions and aftertreatment.
English language skills (very good) and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

Independent calibration of control unit functions for powertrain and vehicle systems with diesel focus.
Plan, execute and evaluate calibration in diverse environments (test tracks, benches, SIL).
Document calibration parameters and results, present findings to customers.
Develop methods and tools for calibration tasks and support project planning.
