Caracol AM is seeking a Design Engineer to support development and industrialization of Additive Manufacturing projects. You will work with Sales and internal teams to translate customer requirements into feasible LFAM solutions and optimize parts for production.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background with 2-4 years of design experience, strong CAD skills, and knowledge of polymers. Hybrid/On-site career opportunities in Italy are available.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Mechanical Design or Design Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles.
• Excellent knowledge of CAD tools for solid and parametric modeling.
• Good knowledge of polymer materials.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Italian.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Mansioni

• Perform engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities on acquired orders for On-Demand Projects and Technology Benchmarks.
• Support Sales during feasibility studies by analyzing customer files, prerequisites, and requirements, and in developing technical offers.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs and parametric 3D models, ensuring compliance with project specs and quality standards.
• Prepare and manage 2D technical drawings according to industrial standards.
• Interface with external suppliers/manufacturers to validate feasibility and alignment with design specs.
• Contribute to material and process requirements in collaboration with internal teams.
• Perform CAD activities to evaluate part printability and prepare designs for production.
• Interface with Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
