Thrive IT Systems in Milano is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL environments for high reliability.

The role covers 24x7 production support, performance tuning, and monitoring of health, capacity, and growth to ensure efficient operations for critical applications.

The candidate should demonstrate independent problem solving, adherence to SLAs, and collaboration with Dev and Ops teams.

PRIMARY TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Manage and maintain databases PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Perform database installation configuration and upgrades
• Handle database objects such as tables indexes schemas and tablespaces
• Monitor database health capacity and growth trend
• Analyze and optimize queries indexes and database structures
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and slow queries
• Conduct performance tuning using diagnostic tools AWR EXPLAIN plans etc
• Improve database efficiency through continuous tuning and refinement

SECONDARY TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Secondary responsibility of this role is to provide 24x7 production support to Oracle databases
• Ideal candidate should have expert level knowledge of Oracle technology and he should be capable enough to handle complex issues independently and provide resolutions within agreed SLAs also ensure customer delight and always adhere to policies and procedures
• Candidate having creative thinking and willing to bring innovations and passionate about working on challenging initiatives will be given preference
