Job summary

DXC Technology Italy is seeking a DevOps Engineer Expert to join the C&I offering. The role centers on Kubernetes administration, CI/CD pipeline design, and IaC with Terraform/Helm. You will work across on-prem and cloud environments, supporting containerization initiatives and monitoring stacks.

You will collaborate with development teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to technical standards. The position is based in Naples with smart working options and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline design.
• Solid understanding of container technologies (Docker/containerd).
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters with end-to-end ownership of the platform.
• Manage cluster lifecycle: upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain ingress, storage integrations, and networking plugins.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Automate deployment workflows, environment provisioning, and repetitive tasks using Bash or Python.
• Use IaC tools like Terraform and Helm to define infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).
• Collaborate with development teams to support containerization and deployment best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior/mid team members; assist in technical interviews.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud), with end-to-end technical ownership of the platform


• Manage cluster lifecycle: upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting


• Implement and maintain cluster components such as ingress controllers, storage integrations, and networking plugins


• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar


• Automate application deployment workflows, environment provisioning, and repetitive operational tasks using Bash or Python


• Use Terraform, Helm, and related IaC tools to define and manage infrastructure


• Deploy and manage monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager), perform root-cause analysis and optimize system performance


• Collaborate with development teams to support containerization and deployment best practices, acting as direct interface with clients and technical teams


• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior/mid team members, contributing to the definition of technical standards and best practices


• Contribute to the hiring process through technical assessments during interviews

We Require

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration


• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline design


• Solid understanding of container technologies (Docker, containerd)


• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows


• Good scripting skills in Bash or Python


• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana


• Strong Linux systems engineering background


• Experience with Generative AI tools is a plus

Location: Naples (NA) with smart working possibility

The position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €36.000.
Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l'industria metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
