• Apply statistical methods to industrial metrics such as yields, cycle times, OEE, process variability and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain data integration and transformation pipelines using Python and SQL, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, data models and KPIs to monitor performance across Technical Operations.
• Contribute to discrete-event simulation and scheduling optimization projects, including OR-Tools.
• Work directly with production sites and Technical Operations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in shaping data-driven strategies and optimizing operations across our organization. **Which is the main purpose of this job?**As a Data Scientist, you will join the Transformation & Performance Improvement team.You'll combine data integration, statistical analysis and visualization with simulation and optimization to address operational challenges. Projects currently focus mainly on manufacturing and reporting across Technical Operations. **Responsibilities:*** Apply statistical methods to investigate industrial metrics, such as: yields, cycle times, OEE, process variability and anomalies.* Develop and maintain data integration and transformation pipelines using Python and SQL, ensuring data quality and reliability.* Develop Power BI dashboards, data models and KPIs to monitor performance and support reporting across Technical Operations.* Contribute to discrete-event simulation and scheduling optimization projects, including OR-Tools, to evaluate capacity, bottlenecks and production scenarios.* Work directly with production sites and Technical Operations to identify improvement opportunities.* Communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. **Travel:*** Willingness to travel primarily within Italy to provide on-site support to production sites. (up to 25%)**Your Profile:*** Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field.* Proven experience in Data Analytics or Data Science, with solid statistical foundations* Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.* Familiarity with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, discrete-event simulation or mathematical optimization (e.g. OR-Tools) is a plus; experience in all these areas is not required.* Proactive mindset and ability to identify improvement opportunities, investigate operational problems and define project objectives, even when requirements are not predefined.* Strong project ownership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build alignment and drive initiatives through implementation and adoption.* At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial sectors.* Experience in pharma, chemical or food industry is considered a plus.* Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence principles is considered a plus.* Fluent English and Italian. **Employment terms:**The role is classified at Level B under the National Collective Agreement for the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Industry (CCNL Chimico-Farmaceutico). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is € 41.575,24.
