Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Project QC Engineer for a major data centre project in Milan, Italy. This site-based role focuses on QC deliverables, test packs, walkdowns, snag tracking, and reporting to ensure clean handovers.

You will work with construction, commissioning, BIM, EHS, supply chain and client teams to ensure inspections are planned, issues tracked and data accurate. Exposure to data centres and regulated environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as QC engineer or quality inspector on large construction projects.
• Exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns and handover processes.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, SLDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage Inspection & Test Plans and checklists.
• Track approvals in line with submittal and construction programmes.
• Monitor weld traceability and related qualifications.
• Define test pack contents with stakeholders and track through completion.
• Plan walkdowns and track planned vs actual performance.
• Lead third‑party walkdowns in line with ITPs and commissioning plans.
• Carry out pre‑test walkdowns using schematics and P&IDs.
