JDL Recruitment partners with a leading data centre developer to recruit a Project Director for a Milan-based role. The position requires overseeing end-to-end delivery across multiple sites with a team of five direct reports and travel between project sites regionally.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in data centre project management, a degree in engineering, and strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Fluency in English and Italian is expected.

Competenze

• 12+ years in data centre project management and implementation.
• At least 4 years in director level position.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with large-scale data centre projects.

Mansioni

• Lead end-to-end data centre project implementation from mobilisation through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure alignment with design, Employer's Requirements, client governance, contractual obligations and local authority requirements.
• Oversee project and construction activities across multiple sites, delivering on safety, schedule and cost targets.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors and vendors.
• Chair project, site and progress meetings and resolve issues.
• Manage risks, variations and claims in coordination with commercial and contracts teams.
• Oversee commissioning, testing and readiness reviews with compliance to industry standards.
• Drive handover to Operations with documentation, as-builds and O&M manuals.
• Lead contractors, subcontractors, vendors and consultants including prequalification and evaluation.
• Manage budgets, variations and expenditures to protect financial performance.
• Coordinate with authorities to secure approvals and report progress.
