The role focuses on developing calibrated event models, providing two-sided quotes, and managing risk in real-time trading environments.

Qualifications

• Experience forecasting real-world events for money with quantitative evidence.
• Ability to validate models and explain evidence against them.
• Strong applied statistics including Bayesian methods and time-varying models.
• Data histories and lineups analysis with look-ahead bias awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop event models that convert team and player state into probability distributions.
• Set two-sided quotes based on model confidence and manage inventory across outcomes.
• Monitor injuries, lineups, and game events to reprice quotes in real time.
• Assess contract settlements and define the actual settlement rules.
• Manage risk and position sizing to withstand a bad week.
