Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Estimator to join its programme team in Italy, delivering cost management, forecasting and commercial insight across pharmaceutical and life sciences projects. You will work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure robust cost control throughout the project lifecycle, developing cost control systems, budgets and reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cost Management, Estimating or Cost Control.
• Pharma, biotech, life sciences or regulated projects experience.
• Budgeting, forecasting and project cost management.
• Experience evaluating contractor change events and cost submissions.
• Advanced Excel and cost management software skills.
• Fluent Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost control systems, budgets and cost breakdown structures.
• Monitor commitments, actual costs, accruals and expenditure.
• Produce cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify commercial trends.
• Review contractor applications, change requests and cost reports.
• Support estimate development and cost-at-completion assessments.
• Prepare monthly project controls and cost performance reports.
• Provide commercial advice and reporting to project stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Estimator to join a growing programme team supporting the delivery of major pharmaceutical and life sciences projects in Italy. This role offers the opportunity to become a key contributor to project success by providing accurate cost management, forecasting and commercial insight across complex capital investments. You will work closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure robust cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost control systems, budgets and cost breakdown structures
• Monitor commitments, actual costs, accruals and expenditure
• Produce cost forecasts and cash flow projections
• Conduct variance analysis and identify commercial trends
• Review contractor applications, change requests and cost reports
• Support estimate development and cost-at-completion assessments
• Prepare monthly project controls and cost performance reports

About You

• Highly experience in Cost Management, Estimating or Cost Control
• Experience delivering pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences or regulated industrial projects
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and project cost management
• Experience evaluating contractor change events and cost submissions
• Advanced Excel and cost management software skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent Italian and English
