Experteer Italy is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for Construction to deploy and maintain building automation and power monitoring systems in data centers. You will collaborate with Data Center Engineering Operations and cross-functional teams to implement upgrades, ensuring high availability and resiliency.

You will lead on-site deployment of control panels, wiring diagrams, and IoT/SCADA logic, coordinating with vendors and operations to meet project scope and budget, while upholding

Competenze

• Minimum 5+ years in project management within data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with electrical diagrams and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA codes and standards.
• Ability to read construction specifications and drawings.
• Experience in data center engineering operations and electrical/mechanical infrastructure.

As a Controls Engineer for Construction, you deploy and maintain building automation and electrical power monitoring systems in AWS data centers. You will coordinate with Data Center Engineering Operations and other teams to implement new builds and upgrades, ensuring high availability and resiliency. You’ll work on control panels, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS logic, delivering quality on time. This role combines field deployment with cross-functional collaboration to support AWS’s mission of reliable, scalable infrastructure.

• Deploy and manage BMS/EPMS in AWS data centers


• On-site management of deployment and commissioning activities


• Direct control vendors to install and commission systems


• Ensure quality and timely delivery of tasks and projects

• Prepare cable routing plans and schedules


• Inspect, test, and commission facility systems


• Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project scope and budget


• Support new builds and upgrades with AWS DCEO teams


• 5+ years of project management in data centers or critical infrastructure


• Knowledge of critical data center equipment


• Experience with electrical diagrams and engineering documentation


• Familiarity with building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)


• Experience reading construction specifications and drawings


• Experience in data center engineering operations and electrical/mechanical infra


• Ability to interpret design intent and apply specifications to work environment
