Kia Europe is offering an internship opportunity as a Controlling Intern within the Budget & Controls Team located at Kia Italia Head Office in Milan. The intern will support budget activities, monthly closure processes, and new strategic projects.

This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Finance, fluency in English and Italian, and strong Excel skills. The internship includes a monthly allowance, flexible working hours, and several employee benefits, including hybrid working options.

Competenze

Controlling Intern

All Genders Welcome. Position located at Kia Italia Head Office, Milan, Italy.

The Controlling Intern will work within the Budget & Controls Team, supporting budget and monthly closure activities. Duties include preparing the annual budget, comparing it to actual results, reporting variances, driving expenses to meet business plans, and supporting new strategic projects.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Ensure accurate analysis of monthly and quarterly budget consumption, investigate variances against the plan by analysing RFA and reporting significant variances.
• Evaluate, revise and update rolling forecasts from other departments.
• Advise on savings when spending budget must be reduced.
• Reconcile analytical and management accounting.
• Support budget in‑charge persons in departments for workflow functionalities and maintain the ERP.
• Maintain roles and permissions in SAP for budget purposes.
• Maintain budget files.
• Support monthly reporting process.
• Support CO‑FI reconciliation.
• Monitor travel expenses monthly consumption by reporting significant variances compared to BP.
• Support the team in the implementation and rollout of SAP Concur for expense management.

Talents

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Strong command of MS Office tools, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and listening skills.

• Experience with financial reporting tools is an advantage; knowledge of SAP is considered a plus.

Internship Allowance

A monthly internship allowance is offered, starting at €750 for the first 3 months and increasing to €1,000 for the remaining 3 months.
