Arcadis is seeking a freelance Contract Advisor for a client in Milan. The role starts around September 2026 with an initial contract until 28 February 2028, extendable. The position focuses on contract development, administration, and negotiation within a Detail Design EPC phase for oil & gas projects.

Required are a Bachelor in Engineering (MBA desirable), 10–15 years of oil & gas contracting experience, and excellent English skills. Milan-based, on-site assignment with potential extension.

Competenze

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent (required).
• MBA is desirable (nice to have).
• Excellent knowledge of English, both written and verbal.

Mansioni

• Provide complex technical advice and support to contract proponents from conception through execution and termination of contracts.
• Develop engineering/financial studies to establish feasibility and evaluate contract alternatives.
• Analyze company risk, bidder qualifications, and scopes of work for contract services.
• Participate in Bid Review Team to shape company position and negotiate contract terms.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

For a client based in Milan we are looking for a freelance Contract Advisor.

• Preferred start: September 2026
• Initial contract duration is till 28 February 2028 (extendable).
• Project phase: Detail Design EPC.

Job Purpose

To serve as the Contract Proponent representative in the development and administration of contracts in the assigned organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide complex technical advice and support to contract proponents from the conception of contract service requirements through the execution of a contract to the termination of the contract or service requirements.
• Direct and participate in the development of engineering and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative.
• Coordinate and/or participate in the development of a professional level of analysis of: Company risk, exposure, technical qualification of bidders, scopes of work for various contract services.
• Participate as the contract proponent representative or delegate participation on the Bid Review Team charged with development of a realistic Company position on contract terms and the negotiation of these terms.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent. MBA is desirable.
• 10-15 years experience in the oil & gas industry and has project contracting experience on large to mega projects.
• Excellent knowledge of English, both written and verbal
