Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Consulting Engineer 3 to design, implement, and optimize enterprise networking solutions for diverse customers. You will translate requirements into robust architectures and lead technical delivery across projects.

You will work with customer teams, partners, and internal specialists, build designs (HLD/LLD), troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to knowledge sharing. Fluency in Italian and English, CCNP or higher, and a CS degree or equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and optimize networking technologies per customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and optimize networking technologies based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, technical teams, and partners to deliver effective solutions.
• Take ownership of technical implementation activities for assigned customer projects.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and support presales activities.
• Create and review technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and drive timely problem resolution.
• Build and use test lab environments to validate solutions and resolve compatibility issues.
• Support technology transitions and contribute to best practices, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching (R&S), including network design and troubleshooting.
• Good expertise in at least one additional networking technology, preferably Software-Defined Access (SDA) or SD-WAN.
• Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting networking solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience preparing technical designs and implementation documentation.
• Strong customer-facing communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional proficiency in Italian and English.
• CCNP certification or higher is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
