thyssenkrupp nucera Italy, the Italian branch based in Milano, designs and supplies electrochemical plants for green hydrogen production, chlorine and caustic soda. We seek an engineer to drive product configuration, variant management and change processes across global projects, helping define new business methods and improving existing operations.

You will work at the center of our scale-up, coordinating ETO requirements, maintaining variant catalogues and leading cost assessments while

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Understanding of product configuration, variant management, and change management.
• Knowledge of PLM systems; Teamcenter is a plus.
• Understanding of serialized systems and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) processes.
• Experience managing product changes across the product lifecycle, including cost impact evaluation.
• Structured and analytical working style with the ability to assess complex technical interdependencies.
• Strong communication and moderation skills; fluent in English; German would be advantageous.

• Configure serialized and customized systems in Teamcenter.
• Ensure compliance with defined product variants and ETO requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and govern configurator rules and frameworks for bid and order configuration.
• Define and assess the impact of ETO requirements and prepare project-specific configuration structures.
• Maintain and enrich the product and variant catalogue, including implementation of new variants.
• Analyze the variant portfolio to ensure economic efficiency and eliminate underutilized variants.
• Manage product changes across the full product lifecycle in accordance with the NCA Product Change Management process (acting as Auditor / Change Specialist 2).
• Perform change impact and cost assessments, create Change Requests / Orders in Teamcenter, and align with Product Cost Estimation.
• Prepare and moderate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
• Provide advisory support to projects, sales, and operations during ETO execution.

Aim of the position

In this role you will be a vital part in developing our thyssenkrupp nucera global organization & business. You will be able to help us define new ways of conducting our business while also improving our current processes & operations. You will be at the center of laying the foundation for the coming decades of our scale up and growth.

Main responsibilities and Contents

• Configure serialized and customized systems in Teamcenter
• Ensure compliance with defined product variants and options while integrating Engineer-to-Order (ETO) requirements
• Develop, maintain, and govern configurator rules and frameworks for bid and order configuration
• Define and assess the impact of ETO requirements and prepare project-specific configuration structures for efficient implementation
• Maintain and enrich the product and variant catalogue, including the implementation of new variants from development or change initiatives
• Analyze the variant portfolio to ensure economic efficiency and eliminate underutilized variants
• Manage product changes across the full product lifecycle in accordance with the NCA Product Change Management process (acting as Auditor / Change Specialist 2)
• Perform change impact and cost assessments, create Change Requests / Orders in Teamcenter, and align with Product Cost Estimation
• Prepare and moderate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings

Skills, qualifications and abilities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
• Willingness to understand and live product configuration, variant management, and change management
• Knowledge of PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter is a plus
• Understanding of serialized systems and Engineer-to-Order processes
• Experience managing product changes throughout the product lifecycle, including cost impact evaluation
• Structured and analytical working style with the ability to assess complex technical interdependencies
• Strong communication and moderation skills in interdisciplinary environments
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
