Belmond is seeking a strategic Cluster Finance Controller to lead financial operations across two flagship luxury properties in Sardinia. The role will oversee financial control, reporting, budgeting, and treasury while partnering with two General Managers to ensure profitability and strong governance.

The ideal candidate brings senior experience in luxury hospitality finance, multi-property oversight, and fluency in English and Italian, with a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Director of Finance / Financial Controller in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels or resorts
• Strong cluster / multi-property exposure preferred
• Solid leadership skills with commercial mindset and hands-on approach
• Fluent in English and Italian

Responsabilités

• Oversee all financial operations for two properties, including sales, purchasing, salaries and expenses
• Lead financial control, policy implementation and audit compliance across the cluster
• Direct monthly GAAP financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
• Partner with General Managers to implement controls, solutions and action plans
• Advise on local policies, internal controls and profitability measures
• Manage treasury, cash planning and tax policy changes
• Coordinate with Belmond regional office Milan and Cheval Blanc corporate offices in Paris for reporting and communication
• Engage with third parties, owners and/or partners as needed
• Support financial aspects of any new product openings or asset sales

An exceptional career opportunity for a senior hospitality finance leader to join two ultra-luxury resort hotels in Sardinia in a cluster leadership role.

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Cluster Finance Controller to lead financial operations, controls, and business performance across two flagship luxury properties.

Key Responsabilities:

Financial Control:

• Overseeing all sales, purchasing, salaries and expenses
• Implementing and reviewing Financial policies
• Audit compliance including actioning recommendations and liaising with internal stakeholders

Financial Reporting:

• Production of monthly financial reporting GAAP
• Overseeing budgeting & forecasting process and long term planning
• Monthly and annual reporting

Financial Performance:

• Responsible for monitoring budgets and for reporting major deviations of over-expenditure, under-budgeting or non-compliance to the approved budget
• Business partner with two General Managers implementing controls, solutions, and action plans
• Assist the General Managers in establishing local policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards that ensure profitability and control of operations
• Advise and provide counsel to the General Managers, HODs and finance teams on all financial matters

Treasury & Tax

• Treasury management, cash planning, reviewing the cash position in order to optimize the use of funds and minimize the volume of cash being held in the business
• Review all changes of tax laws and accounting policies, assess their implications on the business and ensure the finance team implements appropriate changes

Other

• Support the financial function of any opening of new products
• Assist with the accounting related to any hotel or other asset sales, product closure and ownership changes
• Together with the General Managers, manage the relations with third party, owners and/or partners
• Facilitate the best communication and reporting between the Belmond regional office in Milan and the Cheval Blanc corporate offices in Paris
• Communicate relevant information to the Divisional Financial Controllers and the General Managers

Requirements

• Proven experience as Director of Finance / Financial Controller in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels or resorts
• Strong cluster / multi-property exposure preferred
• Solid leadership skills with commercial mindset and hands-on approach
• Fluent in English and Italian
