Job summary

Red Hat in Italy is seeking a hands-on senior consultant to design and deliver cloud-native applications for enterprise customers. You will drive Java-based microservices using containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift, while advancing AI-enabled solutions that leverage on-premises and cloud AI services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT experience with hands-on software development.
• Strong Java development experience with modern frameworks.
• Experience building cloud-native, containerized apps.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with Generative and Predictive AI in a business context.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows.
• Familiar with Python and AI libraries (PyTorch, NumPy, pandas).
• Good Italian and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize Java applications using microservices, APIs, containers, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Support applications modernization and evolvement to cloud-native architectures.
• Develop Generative AI applications using LLMs, vector databases, AI agents, and tool calling.
• Implement CI/CD and GitOps workflows to automate delivery and deployments.
• Help customers secure their software supply chain via Red Lightwell program by identifying vulnerabilities in open-source dependencies.
• Apply observability, secure development, and DevSecOps practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Integrate on-premises models and cloud AI services into enterprise apps.
• Collaborate with Senior Consultants, Architects, and customer technical teams.
