The Role

The successful candidate will represent the client throughout the construction and closeout phases, providing oversight of site activities, contractor performance, programme progress and construction quality.

Working closely with the wider project team, the Construction Manager will play a central role in coordinating complex construction activities, identifying and mitigating delivery risks, resolving site issues and ensuring the project remains aligned with programme objectives and the client's requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the General Contractor, specialist subcontractors, separate contractors and equipment suppliers to ensure effective integration of construction activities and minimise interface conflicts.
  • Monitor programme progress, identify potential delays and work collaboratively with the project team to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Monitor construction quality, review third-party inspection findings and track outstanding issues through to resolution.
  • Maintain oversight of health, safety and environmental performance, escalating incidents, concerns and emerging risks appropriately.
  • Coordinate construction documentation, technical queries, method statement reviews and project communications to support timely decision-making and uninterrupted progress.
  • Monitor the delivery and receipt of owner-furnished equipment, ensuring effective coordination with installation activities and construction sequencing.
  • Support commissioning planning and execution, coordinating contractors and equipment vendors to drive testing readiness and resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Oversee snagging, outstanding works, handover documentation, project closeout and warranty-related matters.
  • Provide regular progress reporting, maintain action and issue registers, and communicate key risks, milestones and delivery updates to senior project stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
