Job summary

ITP Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical / MEP Construction Manager for data centre programmes in Italy and the UK. You will join the Owner's team, owning the mechanical scope and ensuring design intent, programme and quality across main contractor and subcontractors.

The role requires 2-4+ years in data centres or mission-critical environments, with strong stakeholder management and a track record of delivering complex sites on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years' data centre or mission-critical experience.
• Experience in client-side leadership of MEP/MEH scopes preferable.

Responsibilities

• Own the client-side mechanical scope: HVAC, chilled water, fire protection and related systems.
• Review and approve submittals, RFIs and method statements against requirements.
• Audit contractor performance against programme and standards.
• Close out interface risk with controls, BMS, electrical and CSA packages.
• Lead client-side input into commissioning, energisation and remediation planning.
• Own QA, snagging and handover sign-off through to project completion.

Senior Mechanical / MEP Construction Managers – Data Centre

Client-side hyperscale data centre programmes in Italy and the UK. Senior mechanical and MEP roles in the Owner's team, from mobilisation through energisation and handover. Long-term, with extension potential.

ESSENTIAL: minimum 2 years' data centre experience. Applications without it will not be considered.

The Project

Our client delivers project and construction management services to hyperscale, AI, neocloud and colocation developers, building mission-critical facilities on time, safely and to the highest technical standard. This is a large-scale, complex data centre (data center) programme where pace and precision are non-negotiable.

The Role

You’ll sit in the Owner's project team as the client's eyes and ears on the mechanical and MEP scope, holding the main contractor and M&E subcontractors to account on design intent, programme and quality.

• Own the client-side mechanical scope: HVAC, chilled water, fire protection and associated systems
• Review and approve submittals, RFIs and method statements against the employer's requirements
• Audit contractor performance against programme, specification and Italian, UK and EU standards
• Close out interface risk early with controls, BMS, electrical and CSA packages
• Lead client-side input into commissioning, energisation and remediation planning
• Own QA, snagging and closeout sign-off through to handover

What You’ll Bring

• 2-4+ years' data centre or mission-critical experience (essential)
• Background as an M&E/MEP Lead, Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally client-side
• Proven record of holding main contractors and subcontractors to account on large sites
• Strong knowledge of M&E codes and standards, or equivalent international experience
• Composure under pressure and clear stakeholder communication
