Job summary

Belmond cerca un leader per la divisione Engineering & Maintenance che guiderà 13 hotel nel Sud Europa, promuovendo eccellenza operativa, sicurezza e guest satisfaction.

Superviserà la manutenzione, grandi lavori di ristrutturazione e progetti CapEx, protezione del patrimonio storico e obiettivi di sostenibilità; svilupperà standard tecnici, formerà e guiderà i team, collaborando con fornitori e partner per consegnare sistemi di alta qualità ed efficienza energetica.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a senior engineering/maintenance leadership role.
• Bachelor in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Experience in large-scale construction and renovation projects.
• Deep knowledge of hotel engineering installations and fire protection.
• Understanding of energy efficiency and regulatory codes.
• Fluent in English; strong communication.
• Experience in luxury hotels and sustainable practices (LEED/BREEAM/EarthCheck).
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Proficient with maintenance software and BMS/EMS.
• Heritage property renovations (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering aspects of renovations and CapEx projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with Design & Construction; oversee commissioning.
• Provide leadership to Directors of Engineering and teams; promote safety and proactive maintenance.
• Conduct regular property visits and audits for performance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage divisional budgets (CapEx and OpEx) with cost controls.
• Drive energy optimization and sustainable tech implementation.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate service contracts.
• Support lifecycle management during renovations and projects.
• Mentor and develop Engineering & Maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with Belmond standards and regulatory requirements.
