Job summary

Cytokinetics is seeking a Therapeutic Medical Scientist (MSL) to join the Medical Affairs team in Italy, covering Southern Italy. The role focuses on field-based scientific expertise, engaging with KOLs and healthcare professionals, and supporting medical strategy across the cardiovascular area.

Senior level adds mentorship of junior MSLs, strategic regional medical plan execution, and congress planning support, with a strong emphasis on scientific leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, PharmD or equivalent required.
• 2–5+ years MSL experience for Senior level or equivalent.
• Experience in cardiovascular area preferred (HCM or heart failure a plus).
• Fluent English required.
• Willingness to travel 30–50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs and HCPs at national and regional level.
• Lead scientific exchange and identify unmet medical needs within cardiovascular disease.
• Act as scientific expert at congresses, investigator meetings, and scientific events.
• Maintain deep knowledge of disease area, clinical data, guidelines, and competitive landscape.
• Support clinical development activities and interaction with investigators.
