Job summary

Gunnebo Entrance Control is seeking a Buyer & Value Stream Planner to manage material planning, procurement and production scheduling. The role links Purchasing with production, balancing customer needs, capacity and inventory to support on-time manufacturing.

The candidate will collaborate with the Value Stream Planning Manager and Purchasing Manager, ensuring material availability, supplier coordination and continuous flow of goods across the value stream.

Qualifications

• Technical education background.
• Proficient in reading drawings and technical documents.

• Experience with purchasing modules in ERP.
• Experience in basic negotiation with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor component availability for the assigned portfolio and identify potential material shortages and delivery risks.
• Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers in line with the production plan and MRP requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates, expedite orders and address delays.
• Monitor and manage inventory and material movements, including inbound/outbound logistics.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics and other functions to ensure smooth flow of materials.
• Support the Purchasing Manager in supplier scouting and identification of potential new suppliers.

Role Overview

The candidate will work within Purchasing department with focus on material’s management, procurement, and production planning. The candidate will act as a key link between different department, balancing customer requirements, production capacity, material availability and inventory levels.

She/he will work directly with Value Stream Planning Manager supporting Purchasing Manager when needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor component availability for the assigned portfolio of customer orders and products, identifying potential material shortages and delivery risks.
• Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers in line with the production plan, MRP requirements and the purchasing framework defined by the Purchasing Manager and Value Stream Planning Manager.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm and align delivery dates, proactively expediting orders and addressing potential delays to ensure material availability and support on-time production.
• Monitor and manage inventory and material movements, including inbound and outbound logistics of components to and from suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely stock transactions.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics and other relevant functions to ensure an efficient and continuous flow of materials throughout the value stream.
• Support the Purchasing Manager in supplier scouting and the identification of potential new suppliers, contributing to supplier development and supply continuity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in the role in similar fields.

Key requirements include:

• Technical background with skills in reading and understanding drawings and technical documents;
• Very good skills of MS Office particularly Excel;
• Experience with ERPs, especially with Purchasing modules, BOMs and MRP;
• Experience in basic negotiation and in dealing with external partners;
• Digital expertise;
• Basic Lean Manufacturing concepts know-how is a plus.

• Fluency in Italian and English, both orally and written
