Baker Hughes is hiring a Sourcing Experienced Professional - Commodity Management in Italy. You will lead the commodity strategy for direct materials and spare parts, partnering with Commercial, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to shape product strategies and bids.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience in commodity procurement, strong business sense, and excellent communication. The position offers flexible working patterns and a competitive compensation package in EUR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategies for Plant Team partnering with strategic suppliers, ensuring good performance on Procurement KPIs for the GTE and GTS businesses.
• Act as a partner and reference for Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Leadership on product strategy (make/buy, BVC, etc.).
• Integrate commodity strategies into ITO bid activities during early engagement to support winning customer offers.
• Ensure an effective buying process by optimizing PO placement, driving cost-reduction and should-cost analyses, and managing cost/productivity metrics to support the commodity strategy while ensuring best-in-class quality and delivery.
• Support supplier selection, development, and partnerships to achieve top performance in cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability, with Engineering, Quality, and Fulfillment.
• Leverage Sales and Operations plan data to align and maximize supplier capacity with business goals.

The Sourcing Experienced Professional - Commodity Management will be accountable for the commodity strategy, procurement activities, and supplier partnerships for the assigned commodities. You will use your experience and knowledge to define and drive the Procurement strategy for direct material commodities and spare parts, ensuring top performance for the Energy Equipment and GTS businesses

As a Sourcing Experienced Professional - Commodity Management, you will be responsible for:

• Develop and execute long‑term strategies for Plant Team partnering with strategic suppliers, ensuring good performance on Procurement KPIs for the GTE and GTS businesses.
• Act as a partner and point of reference for Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Leadership teams on product strategy (e.g., make/buy, BVC, etc.).
• Integrate commodity strategies into ITO bid activities during the early engagement phase to support the development of eager and winning customer offers.
• Ensure an effective and compliant buying process by optimizing PO placement, driving cost‑reduction and BVC activities, conducting should‑cost analyses, and managing cost and productivity metrics to support the commodity strategy while ensuring best‑in‑class quality and delivery.
• Support supplier selection, development, and overall supplier partnership to achieve top performance in cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability, in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Fulfillment functions.
• Leverage Sales and Operation plan data to align and maximize supplier capacity with business goals, ensuring clear visibility on forecasts.

• Have a bachelor’s/Master degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economic
• Have 2-5 years of experience in supporting commodity
• Demonstrate impressive business acumen
• Be a self-starter and have good presentation and communication skills
• Be able to demonstrate Interpersonal and leadership skills
• Have good knowledge of supply chain and technical product

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 38,605 To 59,000.
