Job summary

Four Seasons Venice is seeking a Barback to support the Bar Dandolo team, ensuring the lobby bar operates smoothly. You will replenish stock, prepare supplies, polish glassware and assist with beverage preparation to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Based at Hotel Danieli, Venice, the role requires Italian and English fluency, strong organizational skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, bars, restaurants or luxury hotel environments.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Bartenders during service by replenishing beverages, ice, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies.
• Maintain bar mise en place and ensure stations are stocked and organized for operations.
• Polish glassware, prepare garnishes and assist with beverage preparation as directed by Bartenders.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms and equipment at all times.
• Receive, transport and store beverage deliveries according to company procedures.
• Remove used glassware and assist with clearing and resetting bar areas during service.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations, alcohol service laws and Four Seasons health and safety standards.
• Assist in opening and closing duties and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Work closely with Bartenders, Servers and the wider F&B team to ensure seamless guest service.

About the Role:

You will support the Bartenders and Service Team in delivering an exceptional beverage experience at Bar Dandolo, the signature lobby bar. As a Barback, you will play a key role in ensuring the bar operates smoothly and efficiently by maintaining stock levels, preparing supplies, and keeping the bar area organized and impeccably presented. Your contribution will help create seamless service and memorable experiences for our guests, in line with Four Seasons' culture of genuine heart.
