Job summary

NTT DATA Europe & Latam is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to work on data platform projects across multiple Italian cities. You will collaborate with analysts and architects to deliver data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, and loading into data lakes for analytics and ML use cases.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures, secure practices, and CI/CD automation using AWS tools. Applicants should have substantial AWS experience and strong Python/Java/Scala scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud-native or AWS environments.
• Experience with big data architectures and cloud/on-premise integration.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes and serverless AWS services.
• Strong security practices and IAM/KMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to it.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Migrate our infrastructure with zero downtime to a highly available, scalable one.
• Set up a monitoring stack such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
• Define service capacity planning strategies.
• Implement the application's CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.
• Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or similar.
