Job summary

Avio Aero in Brindisi is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for MRO. You will drive shop technical content, define maintenance workscopes, and support resolution of non-conformances while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure safe, compliant overhaul processes.

You will interpret technical documentation and drawings, with knowledge of EJ200 components and SAP/MOS/BPM platforms, contributing to continuous improvement and lean initiatives within the end-to-end overhaul

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Material or Management Engineering or technical high school diploma with experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Previous experience in aviation MRO business.
• Knowledge of turbojet/turbofan engines, knowledge of EJ200 main components.
• Knowledge of technical drawing.
• Fluent both Italian and English.
• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis for engine/module maintenance activities, defining the necessary workscope and driving shop operations.
• Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to engineering problems.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews and provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
• Collaborate with Repair Engineers, Service Engineers, Quality, Program Management, and other stakeholders to support the assigned project through integrated processes and meet technical and process requirements.
• Ensure processes contribute to a safe working environment and meet EHS requirements. Support/lead EHS projects.
• Manage configuration controls activities. Monitor and analyze actions related to changes into service.
• Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve & optimize processes, reduce costs and increase capacity.
• Broaden knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy; may include support roles requiring specialized knowledge.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework; consults senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters
