Amazon.com Services LLC’s Prime Air avionics hardware team is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to own systems-level integration and validation of flight-critical avionics hardware across the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with propulsion, structures, firmware, software, safety, certification, and production teams to ensure performance, safety and reliability at the drone level.

The role requires 2+ years in hardware design and validation, with experience in automated test development

Competenze

• BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• Experience with coding/scripting languages (Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell).

Mansioni

• Validate hardware interfaces and unblock system integration across the avionics system.
• Architect, design, build, and operate test systems for drone avionics hardware at the bring-up, sub-system, and system levels.
• Develop and execute verification and validation test plans, including qualification and compliance against aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254).
• Analyze test data, generate test reports with recommendations, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis on hardware system failures, develop and implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement of validation processes and manufacturing reliability.
• Contribute to manufacturing, in-service, and reliability initiatives for avionics hardware in production environments.
