PRISMA in Trento, Italy seeks a hardware validation engineer to plan, execute, and support validation activities across the product lifecycle. You will contribute to testability and validation strategies during electronics design and perform comprehensive tests (functional, electrical, thermal, environmental).

The role requires hands-on testing, strong analytical skills, and fluency in Italian and English to coordinate with internal teams and external laboratories for EMC and regulatory tests.

Competenze

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field
• Experience in hardware testing/validation in automotive or industrial electronics
• Experience in automotive electronics testing
• Knowledge of LED drivers, power electronics and mixed-signal circuits
• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and schematic interpretation
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with attention to detail
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication in Italian and English

Mansioni

• Plan, execute and support hardware validation/verification throughout the product lifecycle
• Contribute to testability and validation strategies during electronics design
• Define and run hardware test plans, procedures, and setups
• Perform functional, electrical, thermal and environmental tests
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging and root-cause analysis
• Analyze test results and provide feedback to design teams
• Coordinate external laboratory tests (EMC, environmental, regulatory)
• Interface with external laboratories and review test plans/reports
• Support certification, homologation and compliance activities
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, optical and software teams
• Contribute to DFMEA and validation strategies
• Prepare test specifications, reports and validation summaries
• Support automotive development and quality standards
